Day 4 - Cycling France 🇫🇷 + Spain 🇪🇸

In no particular order this is how my day went. Setting my tent up this evening was fun as it always is. I then started my task of boiling water for one of my Real Turmat camping meals. Then it sounded like something hit my tent and I thought one of the pegs must’ve come out of the ground. When I went to look I was disappointed to find the material which attaches to the peg had not been stitched on properly to the actual tent itself so I’ve taken photos and I’ll get MSR to send me out a new fly sheet.

I started the day much earlier and therefore finished much earlier. It’s really nice to be sitting having cycled 50 miles and there is still an hour and a half until sunset.

Earlier before I got to my camping site I passed a French style secondhand boot sale but with no cars. There was a beer canopy and so I got a cold beer sat and drank it. It was cool to relax watching people go by admiring my bike.

I made sure to cycle 15 miles today before I took my first break in fact it was 20 something miles before I reached the first village. Unfortunately everything was pretty much shut so I made my way to the edge of town luckily five minutes before a supermarket shut and bought myself some local cheese, some chocolate and a tomato.

I then cycled back into town sat in the square and ate the biggest camembert filled baguette I’ve ever had in my life. Afterwards I used my sleeping bag as a pillow laydown and tried to sleep because I was tired. Unfortunately the Sun came out from behind the tree and interfered with my relaxation.

Actually that’s not the only thing that interfered with my relaxation there was a bar across the road and they were doing karaoke and it seems like they’ve been drinking all day and we’re going absolutely crazy clapping and cheering it didn’t really bother me it was kind of sweet.
