Dude give me my flip flops back

I was enjoying my coffee at 100 islands cafe until I got up to leave and discovered someone had taken my flip-flops. The culture in Thailand is to remove your shoes before you enter the shop or café. And that’s what I had done.

I told the owner and his wife and started reeling back my mind to who could have stolen my favourite and only Teva flip-flops which I had bought from USA earlier this year.

I was truly pissed and decided it was the Italian couple with the little boy after being tipped off by the owner that they were not regulars. So I did the only thing I could do and put on the completely worn out pair of Tevas which had been left behind.

I couldn’t believe this asshole Had switched his old shitty worn out Tevas for my pretty much new ones.

Just next to 100 islands where my scooter was parked I started to prepare for my mid morning run.

I imagined going into town and how I would remove the old worn out Tevas from my feet once I saw the Italian wearing mine and pretty much throw them at him saying dude I want my Tevas back.

Just as I was about to start my run a scooter comes by with a white fellow and a black girl on the back. I looked down at his feet because I recognised him from the café and low and behold he was wearing my Tevas.

I was so happy he came back. He told me he just absentmindedly put them on and left as they looked like his. But strange as his were a size bigger and totally had no cushion in the heal, but I was just pleased he returned them.

Sorry Italian couple… Moral of the story is don’t make assumptions.
