Today marks “Hike Naked Day.” While I didn’t go full nude, I did strip down to just my shoes and cooled off in some ice-cold water. The Ice Man is back, and I want to give a huge shout-out to PTL, a.k.a. Ken, for taking care of us and helping out these past few days. 🙌
What a journey it has been. Reuniting with the Ice Man was incredible. Even though he was only gone for a few days, it felt like a lifetime. Ken (PTL) has been a great companion and constant source of energy. 🌟
There was this one moment when I needed more calories, so Ken hiked up the trail with a tub of Ben & Jerry’s. Of course, I took care of that by eating it all. 🍦 I even took a detour today, adding an extra 3 miles, but that’s just how the Appalachian Trail goes. It’s all part of the experience. 🌄
Having the support for a record attempt is a privilege, one I don’t take lightly. Back in 2018, when I was inspired by Karel Sabbe, being part of his support team made me realize I wanted to go for the supported record.
Returning to the trail this year, I will be so grateful for all the people joining me and offering their support—hiking, running, or simply lending a hand where they can. We are all in this together. 🏞️
Remember, I always end these posts by mentioning that I have space available for Run Coaching clients. If you’re looking for guidance, let’s connect. 💪
