Day 11 - 1,000 miles cycling across France πŸ‡«πŸ‡· + Spain πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ

The zero. Today I cycled a total of 0 miles. Today I spent meandering around all day with the one and only Gun section.

Before we departed the campsite la Grigne I decided to bring my bike from the front area where I had locked it up yesterday and bring it closer to our tents.

As I walked under the towering pine trees  the Sun would disappear and reappear from my sight creating beautiful shadows and light. At the same time Steph who I met (a long distance walker from Paris) who is walking to Camino de Santiago descended the hill ahead of me. I saw him earlier  checked in at registration.

We greeted each other and I presented Steph with my idea. As the light was ideal would he mind if as he walked down the hill I filmed with my iPhone, I told Steph I would share in the end result. He agreed and we created an epic video clip which I will share with this post.

Later on in Bordeaux we went to a chΓ’teau and tasted four wines. But before the wine we toured the sellers and had a short history on how the wine is produced from the fabulous tour guide whose name I do not recall.

After the chΓ’teaut we drove to downtown Bordeaux. The day consisted of sitting in cafΓ©s people watching sipping on black coffee. Later in the evening we advanced to wine and people watching. Unfortunately the meal was disappointing, the restaurant we went to was the touristy type one.

I had to drive home and now I’m gifted with the sound of waves and a blanket of stars above me as I sleep, good night.
