Day 10 - 1,000 miles cycling across France πŸ‡«πŸ‡· + Spain πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ

Today a special lady arrived. She flew from the UK and landed in Bordeaux then rented the car and came to see me. It was the lady who brought me into this world.

Finally the Sun has taken its toll on my legs and arms they are feeling the beginning signs of sunburn. I must begin a precaution and wear long sleeves or use suncream.

Today stopping and speaking to two guys from Belgium who are on their way to Camino de Santiago was fun. To just take time stopping talking to to complete strangers all having the common cause of heading south on bicycles makes you feel united. United with the human race.

And so today I dance in the ocean as the waves crash down around my shoulders. One wave hits my back so hard I went under, felt the power of nature, coming back out for air I can see the blue sky.

I probably ate the worst pizza in my life ever. It was salmon and leek it could’ve been really nice, but the dough tasted like cake and even though the pizza is crap the place was rammed packed. They definitely had a monopoly on the area as there are only four restaurants there.

I was surprised when sitting drinking a beer with my mother to see my friend Dominic and bubblegum the dog. She remembered me and so did Dominic of course. Dominic was with a woman with blonde hair and they were going to watch the sunset on the beach with two beers

I can hear the waves crashing as I write this sitting in my tent. I will not need to use any White Noise tonight as I have the nature on my doorstep.

It’s great to be part of a big adventure, the big adventure of life. It takes you high and you ride the waves and then you come down And crash and then you get back up on the waves again, if you are brave. There is a saying β€œlife favours the bold”.

I had a meal with my mum at lunch, it was delicious. Cod with a kind of sweet potato and aubergine. With some delicious red wine and a crème brûlée for dessert.

Sitting watching people while a giant beer was nice. The Sun shining down kissing my right cheek I’ll start another day another rotation of the Earth.
