I feel like writing

So its almost midnight and I’m sitting in bed with my laptop wide awake and unable to sleep. I want to begin making a daily journal about what I’m feeling and stuff like that. In fact I just want to write freely with whatever comes to mind during these blogs.

I have been back in London about one week. It’s been an interesting time. Making the adjustment from being in America and Thailand. In fact this is my first week here in England this year as I left late December last year (2021) and went to Thailand. Funny enough my last entry was actually whilst I was in Thailand.

I feel somewhat disappointed with the post Appalachian trail record attempt period. I know I never set a new speed record and therefore did not achieve my goal, however I am now the second fastest runner to be supported north. Beating Scott Jurek by over two full days.

I imagined after the AT I would receive interest from magazines and podcasters. So far I have done one interview with The Trails Collective set up by my friend Aaron Shimmons. But I do not want to be a victim here and complain about my situation, this is just more a free flow of whatever comes to mind so I can get used to writing.

I will be writing a book in the next few years and know I need practice writing. So this, if Im consistent will be a daily effort of mine to make this diary entry. It’s mainly just for me, but at the same time I am posting it here on my blog so it’s available for the public to read.

Knowing these words are available to the public will mean I am in some way held accountable for my words and also to show up each day and write.
