⏰ Start Time: 3:59am

πŸ“ Distance: 60.8 miles

⏳ Time on Trail: 16hrs 28mins

Today, I began my journey by crossing a flooded Beaverdam. 🌊 Though my feet didn’t stay completely dry, I managed to keep them from getting fully soakedβ€”just a reminder that even in challenges, there’s a balance to be found. 🦢

As I reached the other side, a runner appeared and shared his story with me. πŸ—£οΈ He spoke of retiring early, not to escape work, but to invest in himself and his life. A powerful reminder that our time is precious, and how we choose to spend it can shape our very existence. πŸ’‘βœ¨

At the first crew stop, I swapped out my wet shoes and pressed on. The day was nothing short of epic, covering over 60 miles at an average pace of 3.7 mph. Let’s GO. πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈπŸ”₯

When I step onto the Appalachian Trail this year, my goal is clear: to give my all, to push myself to run when I can, and to never give up on those challenging moments. Mental strength is key, and belief in the journey is everything. πŸŒ„πŸ’ͺ

As we head into the New Year, I’m still taking on Run Coaching clients. With 25 years of experience, two world records, and six months spent living in Ethiopia, I’m ready to share the wisdom I’ve gained with those eager to grow. πŸ“šπŸŒ
